About the Magazine

As we've already mentioned, the magazine has different sections, each aimed at a different audience, so that everyone from those who don't study Mathematics to the most advanced students and professors can find an article to enjoy.

The popular science articles are intended for a more general audience, aiming to showcase the more entertaining sides of mathematics, whether by relating concepts to music, literature, or sports. Almost anything from daily life could inspire a new popular science article.

The scientific articles are aimed at students and professors of Mathematics, delving deeper into more complex concepts in this field. One of these articles might demonstrate the importance of a lesser-known theorem, while another might tackle a seemingly complex problem with a clever solution. The topics can be extremely varied, but all are more complex than those in the popular science section.

The magazine also includes interviews. These could be real interviews with important figures in current mathematics or fictional interviews with notable historical figures. Another interesting section is puzzles and problems. Here you'll find problems proposed by students and professors, guaranteed to provide some entertainment and a great sense of satisfaction when solved!

Want to collaborate?

After each issue, it's time to gather articles for future editions again. If you want more detailed information on article submission deadlines, write to us at our email! You don't need to be a Mathematics student, or even a student at all, to send us your proposal and see it published. We look forward to hearing from you!

You can participate in this project by editing, illustrating, or designing. You can check what each team is responsible for here.

We would be delighted to have you for future publications!

Committees

The magazine is entirely produced by students, both from Mathematics and other fields. To manage the large amount of work involved in the entire process, we divide into committees.

If after reading the summary of a committee you feel like participating in the association, write to us through the form on the Contact page or through any of our social media channels.

Content Committee

The Content Committee is responsible for creating the magazine's material, contributing original material or compiling what we receive by email. They also organize and discuss which articles will be published in each edition, striving to publish high-quality articles while maintaining a balance between popular science and scientific content.

Editing Committee

The Editing Committee is the next link in the production chain. This committee receives all the content selected in the previous phase. Their job is to review the articles, interviews, and problems to maintain a consistent style, avoid errors, and address any potential issues in the text. Additionally, this committee is responsible for contacting the various volunteer professors from the Mathematics department to ensure mathematical rigor in all articles.

Layout Committee

The Layout Committee organizes the corrected articles within the magazine. They choose the order in which the articles will appear, design a cover for the most important ones, and generally ensure that each article is visually appealing. They work closely with the Illustration Committee, who provide the cover and most of the images included in the articles.

Illustration Committee

Finally, we have the Illustration Committee, which is responsible for finding or creating appropriate images for the articles. They also design the posters we post on social media to announce various events.
