QED Magazine

The main activity of the association is the creation from scratch of an informative magazine with mathematical content. This magazine is mainly made by students of the faculty, from the writing of articles to their corresponding correction, layout and illustration. It also has the support of the professors of the Department of Mathematics, who help in the correction of the same in terms of mathematical rigor.

Tournaments

Once or twice a term we organize mus and chess tournaments for all students who want to join. From QED we take care of reserving the space, getting the materials, making the tables and giving the prizes. They are usually very fun days, perfect for meeting and interacting with other students and making friends, as well as having a good time playing our favorite games.

Gymkhana

The QED gymkhana is an activity that we usually organize two or three times each year for high school students who come to visit the UAM. In it, students go through several stations with tests they have to solve in teams, such as sudokus, ciphers, a mathematical twister, taboo, etc. After a couple of hours, the team with the best performance is the winner.

Escape Rooms

La escape room QED es una actividad que se organiza dos o tres veces cada curso, tanto para estudiantes de instituto que vienen a visitar la UAM, como para alumnos de la propia universidad. Los equipos, de entre 6 y 10 personas, se enfrentan durante una hora a acertijos y problemas de lógica que tienen que resolver para poder salir del escape room.
